The concept of occupational therapy has been existent since a long time. However, the concepts disappeared during the medieval ages. However, today they have been reinitiated as a fairly new branch of medicine. In the old ages, occupational therapy was basically prescribed to people who had any mental imbalances. The therapies consisted of massages, baths, conversations and even travel to some extent. Occupational therapists are individuals who help people to carry out activities that are good for their physical and psychological health.
Occupational therapies were at logger heads with mainstream science and medicine for a long time. Some people believed that their physical and other kind of illnesses or medical situations would be cured only by occupational therapy, while some believed that these methods were a ruse, while some others rightly believed that Occupational therapies, along with the proper support of medicine, can lead to progress in the cure of the illness or medical situation.
